【Exhibition Report】Debut of the 150cm “Moving & Talking Gourai” at The 63rd All Japan Model & Hobby Show

The 150cm “Moving & Talking Gourai” made its awaited debut at the 63rd All Japan Model & Hobby Show, held on October 18–19, 2025 at Tokyo Big Sight (Kotobukiya Booth).

Thanks to the support of all our backers, the 10:1 scale / 150cm Cutieroid Gourai—featuring exhibition-exclusive performance effects—was showcased at the event.

Behind the Scenes: Exhibition Setup

From early morning on the setup day, the team worked together under a tight schedule, checking display positions, wiring, and final adjustments.

Each step—attaching the outer shell, adjusting posture, and fine-tuning the audio system—was carefully reviewed to bring the exhibition to completion.

From transport to the final setup, the entire team gave their all to deliver the display that many supporters had been eagerly anticipating since the successful crowdfunding campaign.

■ Special Performance Features Showcased at the Booth

The 10:1 scale / 150cm “Moving & Talking Gourai” delivered exclusive performance sequences at the Kotobukiya booth.

Dedicated Voice & Performance Program

Voice actress Narumi Kaho, who voices Gourai in the Frame Arms Girl anime, brought the character to life through newly recorded exclusive voice lines.

The 150cm Gourai features a built-in voice system, allowing it to “speak” as if alive. For this exhibition, a special set of 8-minute audio segments was created, synchronizing voice, movement, and facial projection mapping to create a lifelike presence.

Natural and Smooth Motion Expression

With 18 types of expressive poses—including natural arm and head movements—combined with projection-mapped facial expressions, attendees experienced Gourai moving with remarkable emotional nuance.

■ A Second Gourai: The 55cm Robot Doll “CutieroidDoll”

Alongside the 150cm unit, the 55cm CutieroidDoll Gourai was also displayed.

Like the larger model, it features audio playback and signature pose animations, creating a memorable scene with two Gourais standing side by side.

This 55cm model is the same unit previously exhibited at Wonder Festival 2025 [Summer], shown here in its 4th prototype iteration, which includes:

  • 8 motion patterns (with more in development)

  • An improved neck structure

  • Enhanced waist joint support

The CutieroidDoll is being developed as a “partner for everyday life,” designed to accompany users at home or during outings—one more step toward commercial release.
